The practice service area has over a 200, 000 population. The practice supports 11, 000 encounters/year, 80% of which are outpatient. Call is shared equally among the physicians and advance practitioners, rendering a very comfortable call schedule for all providers. The Lourdes Endocrinology Center treats a broad spectrum of endocrinologic disorders and collaborates with an adjacent ADA accredited DM Education center staffed with two Certified Diabetic Educators. The strength of this program is one of regionally recognized comprehensive treatment. The consultation-based practice is supported by referrals from The Lourdes Physician Network which employs over 90 primary care providers.
