Private practice opportunity (not hospital owned). Work hours would be typical daytime coverage with 1: 3 call & 1: 3 weekends.
Physician must be board certified or board eligible to be considered. Must relocate and live within 30 miles of Tuscaloosa.
Salary for the first year will be near $400, 000 and afterwards the physician will be on a production model. Partnership will be at the end of the first year, and there is no buy-in for the practice part. For the endoscopy center there is a buy-in.
Benefits include health insurance, both for the employee and his or her family, plus four weeks of educational leave plus vacation, and $2, 500 for the dues and CME activities. There will be a sign-on bonus. The candidate will be on call one in third night and one in third weekend. No ER call at this time. When he is not on hospital call, there will be like three clinics per week and have three procedure days per week. Average about 12 to 15 patients during the session.
