PAIN MANAGEMENT PA/NP Position in Upstate New York

Busy hospital-employed  Pain Management group  is seeking to add a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).   The ideal candidate will work within the scope of the practice and in alignment with both hospital bylaws and the supervising physician' s expectations. He or she will be responsible for an advanced level of patient evaluation, clinical assessment, prescribing and monitoring medications and follow-up care for the patient.  He/she  will also be responsible for patient and family education.  Experience is preferred but all candidates with relevant experience will be considered.   All duties will be carried out according to hospital policy and in accordance with applicable policy and regulations regarding the practice of PAs/NPs in New York State.  

Minimum Qualifications of Candidates:
  • PA - Baccalaureate Degree in accredited Physician Assistant Program.
    • Fulfill such criteria to maintain certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’ s Assistants.
    • Active License to practice in New York State.  
    • Current BLS certification is required at date of hire.
  • NP - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a MSN.
    • Certification with patient care experience.
    • Active License to practice in New York State.  
    • Current BLS is required at date of hire.
  • Clinical patient care experience.
  • Successful completion of credentialing process at designated hospital site.

 
Package
The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, with no call. An excellent benefits package includes a competitive salary,  PTO, and CME stipend.
