Are you looking to join a  successful, fast growing healthcare company in Central Florida? We are currently searching for an Urgent Care Physician to join our team in the Ocala area.

Primary Job Duties:    
  • Outpatient work only
  • Work 3 days one week and 4 days the next week etc.
  • Clinic hours: M-F 8am - 8pm  Sat and Sun 8am - 5pm
  • See average of 20-25 patients per day
  • Evaluates patients based on medical training, to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, therapy, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
  • Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients and reviews patient records
  • Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed
  • Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures
  • Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention
  • Administers injections, immunizations and oral medications
  • Sutures wounds. Treats sprains/strains and orthopedic injuries
  • Prepares written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances
  • Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention
  • Documents the patient’ s visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnosis and plan of action in the EMR
  • Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs
  • Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions
  • Performs independent evaluations and treatment in emergency situations

Job Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine and residency program (MD  or DO)
  • Currently licensed to practice in the state of Florida
  • DEA license with no restrictions
  • Current BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
