Job Description

  • Seeking a Medical Director
  • Lead our Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology Services in beautiful Ashland, Oregon.
  • The Medical Director of Geriatrics will provide clinical and administrative leadership to a team of inpatient and outpatient physicians and advanced practice clinicians, as well as a robust support staff including clinical nurse specialists and other team members.
  • The Medical Director will also be the first holder of a Medical Chair established by donors through our Foundation. This prestigious Medical Chair will provide funds for the use at the discretion of the Chairholder that can be directed for people, technology, facilities and programs that support patient care and research activities.
  • The role is designed to be 50% clinical service and 50% leadership.
  • Not-for-profit organization that provides comprehensive health care services to more than 600,000 people in a nine-county area of Southern Oregon and Northern California.

  • Requirements
  • Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician
  • Certification in Geriatric Medicine a plus but not required
  • Oregon medical license or able to obtain
  • Strong clinical leader with experience
  • Experience in leading a geriatric service line a plus
  • Track record of driving improvements in quality and safety, with progressive leadership experience.
