Job Description

- Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- M.D. / D.O. Physicians
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics and/?or other professional degrees (e.g., M.B.A. etc.) welcome but certainly not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in outpatient practice.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a physician management role or role as medical director, managing a medical group of 20 or more providers.
- Extensive experience in clinical leadership roles, leading and coaching physicians to be the best they can be for their patients and their colleagues.
- Experience with managed care and/?or value-based practice and familiarity with payer-provider collaboration.
- Experience using a metrics-driven approach to analyze cost, quality, and satisfaction data to drive clinical strategy and program redesign.
- Understand the basics of managed care and recognize that population health and a focus on smart allocation of scarce resources can lead to high value care (better care, lower cost).
- Practice primary care in our clinics 2 1/2 days per week alongside his/?her provider colleagues.
- The Senior Medical Director will report to the Executive Medical Director for the region.

- The Senior Medical Director will be responsible for leading our provider teams in the local market. The Senior Medical Director will partner with the Regional Vice President to achieve operational and clinical excellence and world class performance in hospital admissions, quality, patient satisfaction, clinician satisfaction, and medical cost.
- Supervising center medical directors and ensuring their priorities are in line with those of the organization. This includes but is not limited to supporting the medical directors as they manage their teams, being the ?‘go-to’ for all questions, and communicating updates and business priorities
